Our Story

Ralph Kirsten has vast experience as a safari guide & host having most recently featured on Wildearth’s Safarilive wildlife shows in conjunction with National Geographic from both the Masai Mara in Kenya and the Sabi Sands Game Reserve in the Kruger National Park. He has over 20 years experience in the field and is a specialist in the areas of Namibia & the Eastern Cape as well as into the Kruger National Park. Exclusive photographic and walking safaris top the list and Ralph pours passion into his work. Tracking and finding that elusive big cat, Pachyderm or odd toed ungulate being his favorite past time, and who would stop him going in search of a suspected hyena den!

‘If you aint getting stuck you arent trying hard enough’

Dave Macgregor is our Local Surf Pro and ISA qualified surf coach. He is a 2x South African Longboarding champion and looks after all our travelers coming to our surf camp or choosing the Surfing Roadtrip. Dave will have you surfing like a local, mingling with the local surf community and making sure that whatever level of surfing you are, you get the stoke from the awesome surfing options available and with the benefit of local knowledge of the conditions and waves from a professional.

If you want to learn to surf then our surf camp will get you going! If you want to improve your surfing, Dave will be in the water working on your technique. If you want to score some epic waves and get your fix of bombs…Dave will have you in the right spot at the right tide!

Dave also assists with custom boards, wet suits and all equipment rental…expert advice and professional service.

‘The best surfer is the one having the most fun!’

Offered holidays include: Private & Scheduled Safaris in South Africa & Namibia as well as walking and surfing holidays in the Eastern Cape of South Africa

Social Responsibility

Visiting different villages and bringing guests to these remote areas enables the locals to sell their special curios and interact with guests from foreign lands while supporting them economically.

We support local accommodation establishments that uplift the local communities through employment and tourism.

Human wildlife conflict areas are assisted through the charities we visit in South Africa and Namibia

Economic Responsibility

For every 7 foreign travelers that come to South Africa one job is created! We bring investment to the communities by travelling to remote areas as well as employing local site guides on all our safaris and holidays. Showcasing our potential as a world class safari destination and channeling financial gain to establishments that support a sustainable environment mantra and fair concepts in the tourism environment with the human and wildlife co-existence as the philosophy.

Environmental Responsibility

Through conservation and tourism, uplifting the local communities while conserving important wild areas incorporated on all our safaris and holidays.

Important ecological concepts are imparted to our guests and self-sustainability is our theme throughout.

Through training of our local guides we also send a conservation theme back into the local communities with an understanding of conserving the local surroundings as it leads to economic input through employment and tourism.
